September Newsletter Highlights
Dear Kafunta Friend!
Another month, another newsletter!
September in the Luangwa Valley means the skies are alive with the colourful flashes and loud chirping of the Southern Carmine Bee-Eaters.
This month, Anke and Ron swapped the bush for the peaks of Morocco, meeting up with their son Luke for a well-deserved break and some family time.
Back in Mfuwe, our “front-of-house” ladies, Betty, Paige, Anna, and Rona tried their creative skills at Tribal Textiles, each painting their favourite animal using the batik technique — an activity open to all visitors in the Valley. A bonding moment, while learning the art of hand painting with Tribal’s friendly team of artists.
Luxury is a feeling
We also talk about our recent blog and magazine articles that have been published, focusing on how we miss the authenticity of true safaris in recent tourism development, and how we wish to maintain our property offerings as authentic as possible. You can see the articles here.
Wildlife updates
This month we also feature a LOT of photos from Paige Swanepoel (our Reservations Manager) as well as Andy Parkinson (Nikon Ambassador), so make sure to open the full newsletter to see all the images.
As always, we close with a look at our community and conservation partners. With the photos of Project Luangwa‘s children drive and Conservation South Luangwa’s participation in the Wildlife Ranger Challenge and much more.
You can support these initiatives with a small donation.
So don’t miss out and click on the link to access our full newsletter. Or contact Paige if you would like to plan a safari with us.
