Three Rivers Camp is the first camp to be established on the border of the Malama Chiefdom and the national park. Its location is simply spectacular. The rooms are set far apart with the wildlife passing through camp. The dining area offers boundless views of both the Luangwa and the Kapamba River where hippos love to bask on the white river sand. Three of the tents are positioned right on the edge of the oxbow lagoon, teeming with wildlife, and our guests can relax on the plush daybeds while observing giraffes and waterbucks strolling by. For the guests moving on to Island Bush Camp next, we recommend the experience of walking between both camps.

The unique feature of the camp is that each tent has its own private sleep out, safely connected to the tent for convenient access day and night. Spend a night on the plush star beds, surrounded only by the sights and sounds of the African bush.
We offer game drives in the South Luangwa National Park, as well as bush walks around the camp area and along the river banks. Encounter elephants, giraffes, waterbuck and perhaps the relatively rare roan antelope, as well as lions, leopards and wild dogs. Short night drives before dinner are also available. If you combine Three Rivers Camp with Island Bush Camp , you can walk between the camps while your bags are transferred separately. Three Rivers Camp is seasonal and is open from 25 May to 1 November.

Three Rivers Camp is exquisitely intimate with only five spacious tents, elegantly decorated with natural materials and earthy hues. The large gauzed windows embrace extensive views of the Luangwa River and the nearby lagoon. Each tent has its own wooden deck with comfy chairs to enjoy the surrounding vistas. The en-suite bathrooms include indoor and outdoor showers, double sinks and flushing toilets.
The dining lounge is discreetly set on the banks of the river, with a welcoming bar and relaxing chairs. Observe the many hippos and crocodiles basking on the beaches ahead and keep your camera at hand to capture the swift African Skimmer or colorful bee-eater. After dinner, relax by the fire, looking up at the millions of stars, or listen to lions roaring in the distance. With the same high standards as Kafunta River Lodge our kitchen provides delicious meals: a sumptuous buffet for brunch and elegant, candlelit dinners served by the river.
