The last couple of years, the Kafunta Super Strikers (Luke’s team) were almost the only team in Mfuwe, so mostly they were playing amongst themselves or facing one of the few teams that were around.
But this year is going to be different: With the help of Project Luangwa, Ron has created a football league for the youngsters, consisting of 6 teams, each one with their own coach and, thanks to a very kind donor from Dubai, each of them with their own full kit of jerseys, shorts etc.
Now, the schedule of play is out, and every Saturday and Sunday the teams will play against each other and by the end of the season we will crown the champions of the Mfuwe Youth Soccer Academy League.
