Newsletter – September 2024

September in South Luangwa

Newsletter

Well, here we are again – another month has flown by in a flash!

September has been busy with activity and a few surprises. Read our newsletter to find out what they were.

One of them included the visit of two male lions right at Kafunta River Lodge.

At Three Rivers Camp we set up a camera trap, and enjoyed finding out what was coming through camp at all hours of the night!

At Island Bush Camp, one of the surprises was the sighting of a beautiful roan antelope.

Newsletter

In this newsletter we talk a lot about the abundant wildlife we can find not only around our lodge and camps, but within them too! Which really makes coming on safari in such remote and untouched wilderness so special.

We also talk about the rare find of a full elephant carcass, with its skull and tusks intact. You can read what happens when we find these when on a bush walk.

A large part of the newsletter is dedicated to our resident photographer, Will Rileys’ amazing photographs.

Then we give room to one of our guests’ photos, as we love sharing their own views and memories. This month, we are showing photos of Marta Ferrari who visited us in August.

And finally we bring the latest news and achievements of the various projects and organisations we support: Project Luangwa, Chipembele, and Conservation South Luangwa.
